Thanks to these fantastic landscapes, Cappadocia is referred to as the "alien land" and "museum under the open sky". This region is not only a natural wonder but also the cradle of early Christianity. Frescoes from the IX-X centuries have been preserved in the caves and rock monasteries, still astonishing with their beauty. Interesting facts about Cappadocia: • The region has more than 200 underground cities. Cappadocia is recognized as the best place in the world for hot air ballooning - hundreds of balloons soar into the sky every year. • In the Imagination Valley (Devrent), you can see stone figures resembling animals and people, the most famous of which is the "Camel". • In the city of Avanos, pottery wheels that are over a thousand years old are still used, along with looms for handmade carpets made using ancient technologies. • Local wines have been known since the Hittite times: the vineyards of Cappadocia yield unique varieties that can only be tasted here.
